"The United States military must be ready to protect the American people and our allies from the emerging threats of the 21st century. We must commit to high-quality early childhood education at home to protect our national security and continue the tradition of American military strength."

John Dalton
Secretary of the U.S. Navy

Join our Parent Advocacy Council

A smart investment in your child's future.

As a parent or grandparent, the most important people in our lives are our kids. And, the most important thing we can do to make sure they have the tools to succeed is to provide a safe environment for them to thrive, strong schools for them to learn, and a state that takes the steps necessary today, for a successful tomorrow. That’s why we need your help.

The Kansas Coalition for School Readiness is seeking parents and grandparents, like you, from across the state to join our Parent Advocacy Council as we work to make Kansas the best place to live, work and raise a family.

Since 90 percent of a child’s brain architecture is formed before they even start kindergarten, early childhood education is a smart investment in your child’s future. The Parent Advocacy Council is a smart investment of your time, too. It’s designed to put you at the heart of the action with legislative updates, training sessions and increased access to legislators – without taking much of your already-limited time.

What will the Parent Advocacy Council do?
As a member of the Parent Advocacy Council (PAC), you will serve as a voice for early childhood programs in Kansas. As part of this, you will receive legislative updates about issues that affect early childhood programs, you’ll be invited to complimentary training sessions on how you can become a stronger advocate for the programs your children and grandchildren rely upon, and you’ll be provided with opportunities to meet with your legislators about the importance of early childhood education in Kansas.
